Job Description

Environmental Project ManagerA leading environmental consulting firm is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to support complex remediation projects, primarily serving oil & gas and industrial clients in Michigan and beyond.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage environmental projects from site characterization through regulatory closure.

Lead investigations, risk assessments, and remediation of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and sediment.

Support Michigan EGLE Part 201 and Part 213 programs, including pathway evaluations and CSM development.

Evaluate remedial alternatives and support cost‑effective closure strategies with regulators.

Prepare and/or review work plans, technical reports, scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Coordinate subcontractors, oversee field activities, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Mentor junior staff and support team development.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.5-10 years of environmental consulting or Michigan remediation experience Strong project management experience in environmental remediation.

Experience with petroleum, refinery, terminal, pipeline, and/or UST projects strongly preferred.

Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, and state regulatory programs a plus.

Professional certification (PE, PG, CPG) preferred.40‑Hour
HAZWOPER
(current or able to refresh).Skills & AttributesExcellent technical writing and communication skills.

Strong organizational skills, initiative, and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively.

Commitment to safety‑first operations.

Compensation$85,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
