Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Project Manager independently manages small to medium-sized projects or distinct phases of larger initiatives within Henry Ford Health. This role plans, coordinates, and delivers operational and performance improvement projects that align with system goals in quality, access, efficiency, and patient care. Operating with moderate independence, the Project Manager applies structured project management and PPM principles to ensure quality, manage risks, and deliver measurable outcomes.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops project plans, timelines, and communication frameworks in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders. 2. Manages execution of project activities, monitors deliverables, and adjusts schedules to maintain progress. 3. Coordinates interdisciplinary teams and fosters accountability to achieve objectives. 4. Identifies risks, develops mitigation strategies, and ensures proactive escalation when needed. 5. Tracks, budgets, resource allocations, and forecasts within defined project parameters. 6. Applies structured quality management processes to ensure adherence to HFH project standards. 7. Prepares reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing progress, performance, and key results. 8. Conducts post-project evaluations to document lessons learned and support benefit realization tracking.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering, or related field required. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in project management, healthcare operations, or process improvement. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams. Proficiency in project management tools preferred.
