Job Description

Project Management Lead Summary/Objective:
The Project Management Lead will be the primary contact for assigned projects and lead all related project planning, development, and design efforts. Key Results Area #1: Lead, Manage, Hold People Accountable Lead, supervise, and coach teams in fulfilling company focus, values, and goals. Model personal accountability in all matters and hold team members accountable for achieving project goals as assigned. Manage teams of engineers in completing project work plans efficiently, effectively, and to quality, safety, and client standards. Participate in hiring, training, and performance management of project staff in conjunction with HR and company owner. Key Results Area #2: Manage Projects and Contracts Act as primary project and contract resource for relevant clients and staff. Develop and manage assigned project plans and applicable budgets. Manage project timelines, ensuring that all internal and external deadlines are met. Develop work plans to assign tasks to appropriate key staff for assigned projects. Develop safety plans to ensure compliance for staff, clients, and projects. Lead monthly project review meetings and weekly project check-ins with project staff to assign tasks, track progress, and address issues. Keep abreast of applicable engineering safety standards, modify practices, and assign staff training accordingly. Key Results Area #3: Maintain Quality Standards Complete internal quality standards review before each project submission. Monitor training certifications and assign training as needed to ensure staff skills meet current requirements for designated projects. Key Results Area #4: Ensure Client Satisfaction Maintain consistent contact with clients to ensure satisfaction throughout all phases of assigned projects. Address client issues immediately to ensure quality, safety, and high satisfaction. Ensure each client receives a final satisfaction survey and tabulate results weekly. Review client satisfaction scores quarterly and implement improvements as indicated. Key Results Area #5: Acquire New Client Contracts Network with core client companies and agencies to market engineering services Determine feasible sales goals with Biz Dev Lead Prepare pre-qualification bids to win client contracts Close bids, prepare contracts, obtain signatures, etc. Commence project planning activities

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. Occasional work at outdoor sites may be required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to bend, twist and move up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
Travel:
Travel is very minimal during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience:
Principal Engineer designation (PE), preferred BS in Civil Engineering Minimum 5 years' experience in a related position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience with MicroStation CADD software.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the United States.
Job Type:

$99,840.00 - $156,000.00 per year
