Job Description

Job Title Senior Project Manager Location Detroit, MI Schedule Standard business hours Hybrid - onsite 1x per week Type Contract (6 months open ended)
Pay:
$55-60/hr W2 candidates only Summary Join a high-impact project management team supporting enterprise-wide initiatives with complex scope and cross-functional impact. This role is responsible for leading large-scale projects from planning through implementation, often spanning multiple years and affecting business processes, systems, and services. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, along with a background in healthcare or health insurance environments. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including planning, execution, and delivery of complex enterprise initiatives Develop and maintain detailed project plans including business implementation, readiness, and technical milestones Facilitate business case development and business requirements documentation Drive project decision-making and ensure alignment across stakeholders Provide comprehensive project status reporting, including executive-level presentations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business units, and third-party vendors Identify risks and issues, driving mitigation and resolution strategies Support User Acceptance Testing development, execution, and business sign-off Oversee defect tracking and resolution in partnership with IT teams Ensure proper transition of business operations prior to project closure Facilitate meetings, track action items, and maintain clear project documentation Required Qualifications Must have 5+ years of project management experience with strong IT project exposure 3+ years of healthcare or health insurance industry experience 5+ years of experience working in both Waterfall and Agile environments Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects involving internal teams and external vendors Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Experience facilitating meetings, documenting notes, tracking deliverables, and presenting status updates Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams Preferred Qualifications Understanding of IT SDLC processes Experience using JIRA Experience with data feed integrations and working with third-party vendor systems Education Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or related field PMP certification preferred #INDPRO #LI-JC1
