Salary + Incentive Structure About Universal Wall Systems Universal Wall Systems is a subcontractor specializing in the exterior envelope construction of commercial and industrial buildings. We furnish and install a variety of metal wall panel systems — including foam panels, composite panels, and field-assembled systems — across many verticals: automotive plants, healthcare, mission critical, manufacturing, education, emergency response, and sports stadiums and complexes. About the Role We're looking for a Project Manager to own the execution of our projects from handoff through closeout. You'll be the central point of coordination between estimating, field operations, finance, and the customer — responsible for delivering each project on schedule, on budget, and at the quality standard our owners, architects, and general contractors have come to expect. What You'll Do Plan the work Take handoff from estimating and build a project execution plan covering schedule, manpower loading, equipment, logistics, and materials Develop and maintain the V-Plan (installation plan) and adjust as conditions change Lead pre-construction meetings with the estimator, safety director and foreman to align the field team before mobilization Run the project Manage the project budget; track costs against estimate and look for opportunities to improve margin Coordinate material buy-outs to hit delivery windows and beat estimated costs where possible Work with drafting to make sure detailing reflects the contracted scope and follows UWSI standards Monitor installation progress against the V-Plan; when work trends behind, partner with field operations and the foreman to find root causes and put a recovery plan in motion Communicate Represent Universal Wall Systems professionally with owners, architects, and general contractors Coordinate day-to-day with estimating, operations, and finance to keep everyone aligned Report project status, risks, and corrective actions to upper management What We're Looking For 3+ years of project management experience Track record of delivering projects on schedule and on budget Comfort reading construction drawings and understanding scope Strong communication skills across office and field teams PMP certification or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred Travel Short-term travel for pre-construction meetings and project progress visits — roughly 25% of the time.
