Position:
The Project Manager of Capital Projects identifies, plans and actively manages internal capital projects ensuring that they are completed successfully, within approved scope, timeline and budgetary constraints. Projects may vary in scope and cross-functional involvement, and may include implementation of business systems, validated GxP computer systems, new equipment/utilities, and/or facility expansion or facility modifications. The Project Manager of Capital Projects is responsible for ensuring project teams are appropriately cross-functional, and that projects are implemented within the requirements of the GRAM process(es).
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or other related field, and 5+ years of related work experience, including 1-3 years of specific project management experience. Direct work experience in a project management capacity. Working knowledge of basic and advanced project management techniques and tools, including MS Project. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Requirements:
Certified Project Management Professional or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred. Prior experience regulated manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is preferred, an understanding of GMP quality systems a plus. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Oversee implementation of capital projects aligned with achieving organizational objectives and departmental goals through determining and defining project scope and project objectives. Create and manage project plans in collaboration with subject matter experts and area management, including schedule, personnel and budgetary resources as well as scope of work. Manage project budgets, in conjunction with the CAPEX program and Finance Department. Coordinate and facilitate regular project meetings, including working team meetings and management level project status meetings. Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables. Develop and utilize appropriate project tracking tools to track issues, risks, and action items, and communicate status and risks to project teams and management. Prepare monthly project status reports and present to GRAM Management Team on improvement metrics and business risks.
