Job Description

PURPOSE Under general supervision, oversees various systems projects of a highly complex nature; assembles project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides project management oversight and direction to ensure overall success of large, highly complex, multi-platform initiatives by developing appropriate project implementation plans that may include scope, goals, scheduling and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management. Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and determines the need for additional staff and/or consultants and makes appropriate request for additional personnel. Plans, schedules and tracks project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools. Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentation. Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results and troubleshoots problem areas. Collaborates to develop, and appropriately executes, a communication strategy, including stakeholder analysis, ongoing communications and adoption plans. Negotiates with department managers, when necessary, regarding the support of required personnel within the company to ensure project continuity through completion. Seeks opportunities to improve productivity, cost containment and improve project performance. Manages relationships across organization and divisions to develop a thorough understanding of core business functions and align project with overall business objectives. Conducts quality assurance audits in support of project quality plan, including project post-mortem assessments and suggest improvements in process or procedure. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and four (4) years experience in system analysis/programming and/or project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong project management skills and/or Certified Project Manager Excellent verbal and written communications skills Excellent presentation and facilitation skills Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills Established strategic and critical analysis skills Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle with experience in Java, J2EE, HTML, JSP, XML, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Windows AIX, Enterprise technologies, Web applications, portals and collaboration sites
