About Us Kalamazoo Valley Community College is a comprehensive, fully accredited, public, two-year college in Kalamazoo, MI. We offer associate degrees in more than 60 areas of study and 50 certificate programs. About the Opportunity Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a full-time Marketing Project Manager to design, coordinate and disseminate information both internally and externally about the college and our many initiatives, activities and opportunities. Duties include, but are not limited to: Write, edit, lay out and distribute news releases, articles for college publications, program guides, brochures, flyers, posters and other media informational items. Disseminate information to interested outside organizations. Produce information which promotes the College and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Coordinate the writing and distribution of publicity and schedule advertising to promote the College. Write speeches for college officials, upon request. Serve as coordinator for the design, development and implementation for the utilization of various social media tools and video scripts to aid in student recruitment as well as the promotion of the College and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum.
Knowledge and Skill Desired:
Knowledge of journalistic writing styles. Knowledge of format, design and layout for information purposes. Knowledge of the administration and utilization of various social media tools. Skill in project management and providing excellent service to others Skill in collecting, composing and editing data for writing and/or commentary. Skill in disseminating information orally and in writing. Skill in coordinating activities associated with producing publications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are required. An example would be a bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations or a related field and five years of related experience.
