Sound engineering judgment, excellent communication skills, the ability to influence change, and the ability to drive decisions are a must. The Program Performance Lead (PPL) will manage a team of engineers to deliver key program attributes for EMAT for the programs for which he/she is assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Set and own all EMAT targetsSupport definition of subsystem and component specifications during the RFQ phase to ensure alignment with EMAT targetsIntegration of all work performed by the EMAT teamDefine resource needs
  • including headcount and physical assets (vehicles, parts, etc.)
  • for the project team to include in the program budgetReview and approve data from each of the EMAT Science TeamsEnergy ManagementThermal ManagementAerodynamicsWeight ManagementEstablish priorities for the work request of the science teams in EMATBalance tradeoffs between VDE, PSE, drive ability, and thermal to meet targetsSupport the convergence of interior and exterior styling with performance requirements for aerodynamics and interior thermal comfortWork with extended teams to develop risk mitigation plansOwn the EMAT ScorecardPoint Contact for EMAT with VSM, Advanced, Platform, and Top Hat TeamsRepresent the organization at governance updatesDrive ability sign off•represent EMAT at ride evaluation eventsWork with TSRC, Planning, and Vehicle Teams for development and execution of CAFE and Carbon Net Zero plansEnsure validation of customer functional objectives related to EMATEnsuring voice of customer is met through identification of competitive vehicle set including benchmarking and futteringSummarize lessons learned before the end of the project and support the core team in updating performance standards and processes Location(s) 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326,
United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in EngineeringMinimum 8 years experience in product/powertrain developmentExperience in leading teams of diverse backgroundsExperience in product development dealing with multiple foreign marketsProven leadership skillsExperience leading training initiativesAbility to speak to large groups, both technical and non-technicalComfort with both short and long term project management
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in EngineeringExperience/understand how to derive ABC coast down coefficientsUnderstanding of VDE sensitivities and tradeoff'sFuel economy and/or VDE simulation tool experienceExperience with Powertrain and Electrified Powertrain SystemsExperience in fuel economy testing and data analysisVehicle testing knowledge
