About this opportunity Owen‑Ames‑Kimball Co. is hiring a Project Manager for our Central Michigan Region based in Lansing, MI to lead the successful delivery of large, complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees project budgets, schedules, contracts, design coordination, and procurement while working closely with superintendents, preconstruction teams, school stakeholders, subcontractors, and design partners to deliver safe, high‑quality learning spaces on time and within budget. What you'll do Manage projects through the full life cycle, from preconstruction to closeout Lead planning, procurement, permitting, contract administration, and document control Oversee project budgets, cost projections, pay applications, and change management Direct subcontractor contracting, negotiations, and performance Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve design and constructability issues Partner with the Superintendent to develop schedules, track milestones, and manage risk Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and jobsite engagement Ensure quality standards, safety expectations, and documentation accuracy are met What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred) 5+ years of commercial construction experience managing budgets, schedules, and contracts Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, codes, and project documentation Proven ability to manage financial performance and client relationships Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills The O-A-K Advantage We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including but not limited to salary, 401(k) profit sharing, paid time off, health insurance .
