Assistant Project Manager

RCS Staffing has an immediate need for an Assistant Project Manager in Saginaw, MI. This is a full-time contract Office Based/Field Based assignment with our client (night shift schedule with opportunity to work on another project after completion). Overview of YOUR role as an Assistant Project Manager As an Assistant Project Manager, you will join the team in a position best suited for professionals who enjoy being onsite, coordinating construction activities firsthand, and supporting project execution in real time. You will work closely with a Senior Project Manager to help implement energy saving solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires a regular onsite presence to support daily construction activities and project execution. As an Assistant Project Manager YOU will: Serve as a regular onsite presence to support daily construction activities and project execution Assist with the administrative and technical management of construction projects, ensuring successful delivery of energy savings to public, institutional, government, and commercial clients Support the Senior Project Manager by coordinating field activities, managing project schedules, tracking progress, preparing quality and compliance reports, and facilitating communication between site teams and internal stakeholders Help manage vendors and subcontractors in the field, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and customer expectations

• Maintain and update project schedules, monitor critical path activities, and track open issues with a strong focus on onsite progress and resolution
• Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing special inspections and inspections conducted by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), often requiring onsite attendance
• Perform additional duties as needed to support project teams and field operations
• Update logs and project documentation with strong attention to detail
• Travel to nearby sites as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned YOU are the ideal Assistant Project Manager candidate if you have: Three to five years of project management or construction related experience Current OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Certification (required) Current First Aid and CPR Certification (required) Detail-oriented with strong ability to update logs (required) Willingness to travel to nearby sites (required) Strong organizational skills, proactive work style, and demonstrated OSHA compliance experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field crews, subcontractors, and internal teams Comfortable working in active construction environments and adapting to frequent location changes Ability to work night shift schedule Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills It's a BONUS if you have: Experience with Procore software Proficiency in MS Project Experience with energy efficiency or renewable energy projects Background in construction management or engineering Experience coordinating special inspections and AHJ inspections About Our CLIENT Our Client is a leading cleantech integrator and renewable energy solutions provider, delivering comprehensive energy efficiency and infrastructure upgrades to organizations across North America and Europe.

$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
