Description:
The Capital Projects/Grant/Accounting Coordinator provides support to the Executive Director of Business & Finance for capital projects, grants, and accounting functions. This includes account reconcilement, budget development, monitoring activity, and reporting to various departments and agencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting/business-related field and five years of accounting related experience preferred. Applicants with an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all District stakeholders. Highly detail-oriented and demonstrated high degree of accuracy. Must possess high levels of proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft suite applications. Experience with school related technology such as AS-400 preferred. Knowledge of state accounting code for proper account development and use. Exhibit a high level of professionalism. Manage and maintain highly confidential information. Knowledge of legal and construction management terminology. Knowledge of federal and state grant auditing requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assists the Executive Director of Business & Finance in all related capital project, grant, and accounting functions. Assist with capital project and grant budget development and reporting. Assist with district audit preparation. Review construction payment applications and billings. Monitor district budget to actual activity, identify variances and work with departments to resolve.
