None ________________________________________ Position Purpose The Project Manager I leads cross-functional initiatives that support the credit union's strategic goals and organizational priorities. This role partners with stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects that improve operations, member experience, and organizational effectiveness. The position serves as a facilitator and servant-leader, helping teams navigate roadblocks, maintain alignment, and execute projects successfully using appropriate project management methodologies. Through organization, communication, and collaboration, this role helps turn strategic ideas into measurable results. ________________________________________ What You'll Do Project Leadership & Delivery Lead projects from initiation through completion Coordinate project activities, timelines, deliverables, and resources Ensure projects align with organizational goals, member expectations, and business needs Monitor project progress and support successful delivery outcomes ________________________________________ Stakeholder Partnership & Collaboration Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria Facilitate communication and alignment across teams and departments Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Support collaborative decision-making and issue resolution ________________________________________ Agile & Project Management Methodologies Apply appropriate project management methodologies based on project needs Support agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, retrospectives, and status updates Promote effective project management practices and continuous improvement ________________________________________ Team Facilitation & Servant Leadership Act as a servant-leader for project teams Identify and remove roadblocks impacting project progress Support team collaboration, accountability, and engagement Help create an environment focused on delivery and continuous improvement ________________________________________ Risk, Change & Communication Management Identify project risks, dependencies, and constraints Communicate project status, challenges, and mitigation plans clearly Facilitate change requests and ensure stakeholders understand impacts Support organizational readiness and change management efforts ________________________________________ Project Governance & Operational Support Maintain project documentation, reporting, and project closure standards Support governance processes and project management best practices Contribute to development of PMO tools, templates, and methodologies Promote consistency and operational excellence across project delivery ________________________________________ Testing, Readiness & Continuous Improvement Support business and technical testing coordination as needed Help ensure solutions are operationally ready for implementation Facilitate retrospectives and lessons learned discussions Recommend improvements to project delivery processes and team effectiveness ________________________________________ Operational Excellence Manage multiple priorities and initiatives effectively Maintain strong organization and attention to detail Communicate issues, risks, and opportunities clearly Support continuous improvement of project management practices ________________________________________ Requirements What Success Looks Like Projects are delivered effectively and aligned with business goals Stakeholders remain informed, engaged, and aligned Risks and roadblocks are identified and managed proactively Teams collaborate effectively and remain focused on delivery Appropriate methodologies support successful project outcomes PMO standards and practices continue to improve Projects provide measurable business and member value ________________________________________ Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Business, Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience CAPM certification preferred ________________________________________ Experience 1+ years of professional project management or related experience preferred ________________________________________ Knowledge & Skills Understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and waterfall Ability to lead projects of varying scope and complexity Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Strong collaboration and facilitation abilities ________________________________________ Physical & Work Environment Primarily office environment Occasional travel may be required ________________________________________ Compliance Commitment This role requires adherence to organizational policies related to privacy, information security, and regulatory standards ________________________________________ Additional Expectations Assumes responsibility for tasks and duties as assigned This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
