POSITION SUMMARY
Precision Permit Services (a Division of De Jager Construction) is a National permitting service company that works for Retailers, Architects and Engineers and looking to fill a full-time Permit Expeditor position. The Permit Expeditor is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and tracking permit applications to ensure timely approvals from municipal jurisdictions. This position serves as a key liaison between clients, municipalities, and internal departments, supporting efficient permit processing and accurate documentation management. The Permit Expeditor must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Obtain preliminary permit information from clients, complete required information, and return finalized documents to clients. Receive permit application documents from clients, review for completeness, and assemble and submit complete permit application packages to the appropriate jurisdiction for review. Follow up with municipalities regarding plan reviews and permit applications to monitor progress and address comments as needed. Provide weekly progress reports to clients outlining permit status updates. Upon notification of permit approval, coordinate with the appropriate party for permit pickup or delivery. Prepare billing documentation and supporting materials for all completed jobs on a weekly basis. Maintain proactive communication with current clients to anticipate upcoming permit needs. Maintain organized electronic files of permit applications and forms; obtain required forms online as necessary.QUALIFICATIONS
Basic clerical and administrative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with the construction industry and/or building departments is a plus.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to communicate clearly with employees and clients in person, through email and by phone. Must be able to sit and operate a computer for extended periods of time.WE OFFER
