About the role The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and managing projects- according to predetermined timelines. This position must work with project team members, clients and contractors; along with ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages project development from bid phase to the beginning of start-up. Ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Works with sales team, engineering, procurement and other stakeholders to complete project charter, outlining scope, goals/deliverables, budget and timing. Develops and continually updates the project schedule to identify when specific tasks need to be performed. Clearly communicates expectations to team members and stakeholders. Acts as a mediator between team members and stakeholders. Resolves issues and solves problems throughout project lifecycle. Effectively manages project scope by ensuring any change orders, external deviations, and internal rework are approved and documented. Provides regular client updates through project execution to customer and other stakeholders as required. Tracks and reports on project milestones and provide status reports to team members and stakeholders. Tracks and manages invoicing and contacts customers regarding delayed payments. Schedules and leads project related meetings. Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Develops tools and best practices for project management and execution. Ensures ISO compliance from all project team members by: managing forms, certifications, completed internal inspection/testing checklists and other project documentation records in an organized manner. Works with bonding company to get performance and payment bonds as requested from the customer. Notarizes legal documents as required. Manage sales lead payments to Sales Representatives. Miscellaneous Duties and Responsibilities Other projects, duties and tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications Associates degree; relative to the position; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 to 5 years of project management experience is required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk and hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand and walk. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Benefits/Pay 144 hours (18 days) of annual Paid Time Off (PTO). The amount increases after 5 years of employment.
