Kansas City, MO Position Overview An established electrical services organization is seeking an experienced Service Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operations within the Electrical Service Department across residential, commercial, and industrial accounts. This individual will be responsible for managing service operations, coordinating work orders and maintenance schedules, supporting field teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving operational efficiency across service projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical service industry experience, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced environments. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on operational leader who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys balancing project coordination, customer service, team leadership, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Service Operations & Project Coordination Lead day-to-day administrative and customer service operations across residential, commercial, and industrial service accounts Coordinate and manage service work orders from initiation through completion Develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedules and ongoing service programs for clients Ensure service work is completed on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards Team Leadership & Operational Oversight Oversee service crews, scheduling, productivity, and operational performance Support team development, accountability, communication, and safety compliance initiatives Monitor operational efficiency, labor utilization, and cost controls across service activities Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to support smooth project execution Customer Service & Client Management Maintain strong communication with customers, employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders Deliver high-quality customer service while proactively resolving issues and maintaining strong client relationships Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, operational performance, and profitability Safety, Compliance & Industry Standards Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, permitting requirements, and industry regulations Maintain working knowledge of:
NEC NFPA
Life Safety Codes Uniform Building Codes Support facility maintenance and electrical service best practices across all operations Qualifications Required Experience Strong experience within the electrical service industry supporting residential, commercial, and industrial environments Proven experience managing service operations, projects, scheduling, and field teams Experience supporting maintenance programs, service work orders, permitting, and facility operations Strong operational leadership experience — client is not seeking entry-level or "green" candidates Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced service environments Technical & Professional Skills Working knowledge of electrical systems, electrical codes, and safety standards Understanding of business operations, customer service, and basic accounting principles Experience utilizing office software and business management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Education Bachelor's Degree in: Engineering Electrical Engineering Construction Management Related field preferred Equivalent hands-on industry experience may be considered in place of formal education MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
