Greenfield Milling TITLE Sr Project Manager Job Location Kansas City, KS 66109 Position Type Full Time Education Level 4 Year Degree Salary Range $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 Salary/year Travel Percentage Up to 50% Description Description A Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing complex projects, leading teams, managing resources, and ensuring the successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints. Leads complex projects from start to finish, focusing on strategic planning, resource allocation, budget control, risk management, and stakeholder communication, ensuring goals are met on time and within scope by guiding cross-functional teams, resolving issues, and reporting progress to leadership. They act as a liaison, manage senior stakeholders, and often mentor team members, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple largescale projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. Direct cross functional teams, providing mentorship and guidance to project managers and team members. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and addressing any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Establish and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, variance tracking, and financial reporting to stakeholders. Implement a continuous risk management process to identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks and issues. Define and enforce quality standards for all project deliverables, conducting regular reviews to ensure outcomes align with requirement. Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and ensuring all activities align with project strategy and goals Define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs. Guide teams, track progress, manage budgets, control changes, and ensure quality standards. Motivate teams, resolve conflicts, mentor team members, and foster collaboration. Communicate with internal/external stakeholders, sponsors, and executives, providing regular status updates. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop and deliver progress reports, project metrics, and performance analysis. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, Management, or a related discipline preferred, or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with equivalent experience. 7-10+ years of experience in project management within a manufacturing/industrial/milling environment preferred. Proven project management skills (scheduling, documentation, budgeting). Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation abilities. Expertise in project management methodologies. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Technical understanding relevant to the project domain. Experience with project tracking and budget management tools. Milling, agriculture, packaging, mixing, pneumatic engineering, or similar project experience within grain mill operations preferred. Travel is up to 50%.
Working Conditions:
This position will require some physical efforts such as pulling and lifting. Travel to company locations within the U.S. as needed. Repetitive actions such as typing, answering phones, etc. Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time.
