Position Summary The Cabinet Shop Project Manager / Salesperson is responsible for generating sales, managing customer relationships, coordinating cabinet projects from initial consultation through final installation, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role combines sales expertise with project management skills to oversee timelines, measurements, ordering, scheduling, and communication between customers, installers, vendors, budgets, and shop staff. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service Meet with homeowners, builders, contractors, and designers to discuss cabinet needs and project goals. Prepare estimates, quotes, and sales proposals for cabinetry and related products. Conduct showroom consultations and assist customers with cabinet styles, finishes, layouts, and hardware selections. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Follow up on leads and maintain consistent communication with prospective and existing clients. Project Management Manage cabinet projects from sale through completion. Coordinate field measurements and verify job site readiness. Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and order tracking. Communicate with customers regarding orders, lead times, damages, and delivery schedules. Coordinate installation schedules with installers and subcontractors. Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Resolve customer concerns and project issues promptly and professionally. Operations Coordination Work closely with shop staff, installers, and vendors to ensure accurate production and delivery. Review plans, specifications, and drawings for accuracy. Monitor inventory and special-order items as needed. Maintain organized project files, documentation, and change orders. Assist with workflow coordination between departments. Administrative Duties Maintain accurate customer records in company software systems. Track project progresses and provide status updates to customers. Qualifications Previous experience in cabinetry, kitchen and bath design, construction, remodeling, or related industry preferred. Strong sales and customer service skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings is preferred. Experience with cabinet design software (20/20, ProKitchen, or similar) preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer systems.
