About our Company Incorporated in 2013, Apex Steel Montana, Inc. is a leading steel construction contractor in the northwest region specializing in pre-engineered metal buildings and structural steel erection. Our team handles every aspect of the supply and install process, from pre-planning to execution. We drive our mission statement "Where Innovation Meets Execution" through all projects with a detailed focus on quality, safety, and production. Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from start to finish. This role manages schedules, project budgets, subcontractors, and field operations while ensuring safety, quality, and production timelines are met. Acting as the main point of contact between clients, contractors, and field teams, the Project Manager ensures efficient communication, problem-solving, and successful project delivery in safety-critical, fast-paced environments. This role requires travel to job sites, including overnight, extended stays, and the ability to manage field operations in diverse and remote locations. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee construction projects from start to finish Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards Maintain and create relationships with clients and vendors Monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures Communicate regularly with field staff, clients, stakeholders, and leadership Resolve issues, delays, or conflicts proactively Prepare and present project updates and reports Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) 5-10 years of construction project management experience Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations Ability to manage multiple projects along with their budgets and schedules Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in project management software (Sage 100 Contractor, Fieldwire) Preferred Certifications PMP (Project Management Professional) CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
