Job Description:
This position supports our client's long-term commitment to delivering a cleaner, greener energy future and achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The Project Manager II serves as the single point of accountability to the Manager of Project Management and is responsible for managing all phases of project planning and execution to ensure successful project delivery. This role oversees projects with low to moderate risk profiles and ensures alignment with company standards related to scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, environmental compliance, communications, and integration. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Team Management Create, staff, lead, and coordinate project teams across multiple internal and external organizations Provide leadership and daily guidance to matrixed project team members Coordinate with functional leaders regarding team placement, development, and conflict resolution Collaborate with departments including Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Legal, EHS, QA/QC, Operations, Regulatory, Communications, Security, and Stakeholder Engagement Project Planning Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality plans Lead planning efforts including: Work scope definition Estimating and cost control Schedule development and monitoring Procurement and contracting strategies Vendor and equipment selection Startup and commissioning planning Risk management and integration planning Project Execution Execute projects within approved scope, schedule, and budget constraints Manage project deliverables including: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Resource planning Budget oversight Contractor and supplier coordination Quality, environmental, safety, and security plans Change management Communications and reporting plans Project closeout and lessons learned Required Qualifications Utility industry experience required Experience with electric distribution or transmission projects preferred Strong project management and leadership capabilities Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Maximo experience preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred EPC project experience preferred
