Hybrid 3 On in Asheville, NC Our client seeks a Senior Project Manager to deliver distribution substation optimization projects. The role will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk, and drive communication with stakeholders. Utility project management experience is required, with preference for electric distribution or transmission backgrounds and tools such as Maximo and Excel. The work will support grid modernization objectives and operational reliability. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities Create, staff, and lead project teams across development, engineering, project controls, estimating, construction management, supply chain, legal, EHS, QA/QC, operations, communications, stakeholder engagement, regulatory, security, fuels, and transmission. Provide daily leadership, oversight, and coordination for matrixed team members and engage functional leaders on placement, development, and conflict resolution. Establish and maintain stakeholder communications through status reporting, kickoff meetings, and recurring updates aligned to standards and procedures. Plan scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality, including estimating, schedule development, cost control, procurement and contracting strategies, equipment and vendor selection, and commissioning plans. Execute projects within approved constraints, managing objectives, scope, roles, deliverables, WBS, schedules, communications, regulatory and procurement strategies, contractor and supplier plans, resources, budgets, lessons learned, risk, quality, safety, environmental, security, integration, data management, reporting, change control, and closeout. Experience Requirements Utility project management experience. Electric distribution or transmission experience (preferred). Maximo experience (preferred).
