Job Description
Project Manager Moderno Porcelain Works specializes in the fabrication and installation of large format porcelain slabs. We are a new kind of company with a new vision! We are continually growing in the US and looking for an experienced project manager. As a Project Manager, you will lead our team to deliver beautiful pieces of art. At Moderno, you will get continuous training to develop your craftsmanship and leadership skills. This is a full-time position with benefits!
What we need:
- At least 6+ years of demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in tile floors, walls, countertops or other construction. We must be able to verify your references.
- Have 2+ years of experience making stone caps, different stone edges by hand in a production shop. Epoxy with catalyzer and caulking application is also required.
- Customer point of contact during templating, fabrication, installation, quality check and close out
- Follow job flow (quote, deposit, CAD, production, and installation)
- Project management / troubleshooting
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues or concerns.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan the layout and installation of tile surfaces, including floors, walls, countertops, and backsplashes
- Confirm install crews measure and cut tile materials accurately to fit around obstacles and in irregular spaces, using tile saws, grinders, and other cutting tools
- Confirm install crews use appropriate setting materials, such as mortar, adhesive, or grout, and techniques, such as thin-set or mud-set installation
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and pattern consistency throughout the installation process, paying attention to detail and aesthetics
- Confirm install of tile trim and edge profiles, as well as transition pieces and expansion joints, to achieve a finished and professional look
- Confirm install crews clean-up work areas and remove debris at the end of each installation job, leaving the site clean and organized.
