Job Description
Description We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager - Operations to support multiple cross-functional initiatives in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a versatile project leader who can move comfortably between operational detail, data-driven coordination, and stakeholder management while helping teams maintain momentum. The role will partner with business and technology groups to organize complex workstreams, strengthen reporting visibility, and drive execution across product and process-focused priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day coordination across several operational and project-based initiatives, ensuring priorities stay organized and stakeholders remain aligned.
- Support a new product launch by managing reporting needs, tracking dependencies, and connecting business objectives with technical execution.
- Partner closely with actuarial and cross-functional teams to maintain progress, surface risks early, and keep deliverables moving on schedule.
- Build structure around a workflow modernization initiative by clarifying scope, organizing activities, and driving accountability across business and IT partners.
- Act as a central point of coordination between operational teams and technology groups to resolve blockers, communicate updates, and support informed decision-making.
- Oversee detailed project tracking, including status reporting, issue management, action logs, and follow-up with responsible teams.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts tied to intake and submission workflows, including support for future AI-enabled operating models.
- Balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution by stepping into analytical and operational tasks when needed to keep workstreams advancing. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in project management, operations, business analysis, or a related cross-functional environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining strong organization and follow-through.
- Experience working across both business and IT teams, with the ability to translate needs clearly between stakeholder groups.
- Strong background in reporting, coordination, and operational execution within complex initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills across varied audiences.
- Proven ability to identify issues, escalate risks appropriately, and drive projects forward with urgency.
- Hands-on approach with the flexibility to support both detailed execution and broader program-level oversight.
- Experience in operations management, cross-functional project leadership, and IT-related project delivery.
