We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient IoT Module Customer Project Manager to lead and support customer projects with a strong focus on ODM partners and cross-regional collaboration, particularly with our American teams. This role bridges Embedded Software development expertise with Project Management excellence, ensuring seamless execution of customer engagements across time zones and cultures.Requirements:
Objectives:
Ensure the successful delivery of IoT module projects for ODM customers by managing scope, schedule, quality, and communication. Act as a key interface between APAC-based ODM partners and US-based sales and FAE teams, ensuring alignment and responsiveness across regions. Drive technical and operational excellence throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, leveraging embedded software expertise and project management capabilities.Responsibilities:
Customer Project Management:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of customer-specific IoT module projects, ensuring milestones are met and expectations are exceeded. Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Track and manage project risks, dependencies, and changes; implement mitigation strategies proactively. Coordinate cross-functional teams including software, hardware, testing, and quality assurance to ensure smooth execution.ODM Partner Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with ODM customers, acting as their primary point of contact for project-related matters. Understand ODM business models, technical requirements, and operational constraints to tailor project strategies accordingly. Facilitate technical discussions, requirement clarifications, and issue resolution between ODMs and internal engineering teams.Cross-Regional Collaboration:
Serve as the bridge between APAC and US teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across time zones. Support US sales and FAE teams with project updates, technical insights, and customer feedback. Schedule and lead regular sync meetings, status reviews, and escalation calls across regions.Technical Leadership:
Translate customer requirements into actionable development tasks and ensure technical feasibility. Provide guidance and support to engineering teams during development, integration, and validation phases. Review and contribute to technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and release notes.Operational Excellence:
Maintain detailed project documentation including timelines, action items, risk logs, and customer communications. Continuously improve customer project processes and tools to enhance efficiency and transparency. Support post-launch activities including issue tracking, firmware updates, and customer satisfaction initiatives.Reporting & Communication:
Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to internal leadership and external customers. Escalate critical issues promptly with clear context and proposed solutions.Requirements & Qualifications Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related technical discipline.Professional Experience:
At least 10 years' working experience on SW background and project management. 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development, preferably in IoT modules, wireless communication (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, GNSS), or edge computing. 3+ years of experience in project management, especially in customer-facing roles involving ODM partners or cross-regional teams. Proven experience in managing multi-phase technical projects from concept to delivery, including requirement gathering, development coordination, validation, and customer acceptance.Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++, RTOS, Linux, and firmware development. Familiarity with hardware-software integration, debugging tools, and version control systems (e.g., Git). Understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP), cloud connectivity, and device lifecycle management. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, datasheets, and customer specifications.Project Management Skills:
Solid knowledge of project planning, risk management, resource allocation, and milestone tracking. Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Wikipage, or Smartsheet. PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification is a strong plus.Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent English communication skills - both verbal and written Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with ODM partners and internal teams. Experience working with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, especially across APAC and US time zones. Comfortable managing virtual meetings, status reviews, and technical workshops across different time zones.Personal Attributes:
