We are all employee-owners at HDR , which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world. In the role of Bridge Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects
Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff
Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project's development
Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice
Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure completion of documents on schedule
Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and interchange design for highway projects
Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs
Mentor younger staff and support continued development
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering
A minimum 2 years project management experience
PMP certification
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Math
CAD, LARSA
Experience mentoring junior staff
Proficiency with seismic design and detailing of bridges
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment\#LI-KJ1 Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
