Job Description

Technical Source is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer on a large-scale, greenfield capital project in Eastern North Carolina. We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist - Scheduling to support the schedule integration and controls team during a critical phase of project execution. This role sits at the center of a fast-paced build, where real-time field conditions, schedule accuracy, and stakeholder visibility directly impact project success. What You'll Be Doing You'll play a key role in ensuring the project schedule reflects reality on the ground and supports proactive decision-making: Field Verification & Progress Validation Validate reported progress against actual field conditions to ensure schedule integrity and accuracy. Schedule Analysis & Risk Identification Monitor critical and near-critical path activities, identifying risks, delays, and opportunities for recovery. Schedule Updates & Reporting Collect and consolidate progress data to support bi-weekly schedule updates and forecasting efforts. Stakeholder Communication Develop clear, concise reporting materials and presentations for project leadership, enabling informed decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with project controls, construction, and engineering teams to ensure alignment between field execution and schedule logic. System Adoption & Optimization Quickly ramp up on Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) while leveraging prior experience with Primavera P6 and / or Microsoft Project. What We're Looking For 10-15 years of experience in scheduling, project controls, or construction / project execution environments Proven experience supporting large-scale capital projects, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries Hands-on expertise with Primavera P6 and / or Microsoft Project Ability to quickly learn and operate within Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) Strong understanding of field execution workflows and how they translate into schedule progress Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex schedule data into actionable insights Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-visibility project environments What Makes This Role Different High-impact position on a major pharmaceutical greenfield project Direct exposure to project leadership and decision-making processes Opportunity to bridge the gap between field execution and executive-level reporting Work within a mature project controls environment utilizing industry-leading tools and best practices Success in This Role Looks Like Consistently delivering accurate, timely bi-weekly schedule updates Providing clear visibility into risks and schedule performance Building trust with stakeholders through reliable, field-aligned data Becoming a go-to resource for schedule insight and decision support
