Summary Join Long Foundation Drilling Co. as an Assistant Project Manager / Estimator in our Winston-Salem, North Carolina office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career construction professional looking to build a long-term career in heavy civil construction and deep foundations. In this role, you will work closely with experienced project management and operations personnel to support estimating, project planning, scheduling, coordination, and project execution from pre-bid through closeout. This position offers hands-on exposure to both estimating and field operations while providing opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the organization. Responsibilities Assist with preparing project estimates, budgets, and bid documentation for drilled shaft and deep foundation projects Review geotechnical reports, structural foundation drawings, and project specifications to support estimating and project execution Assist in developing unit-cost estimates based on production rates, equipment utilization, crew performance, and material quantities Support project management activities from pre-bid through project completion, including scheduling, coordination, and closeout Coordinate with Superintendents regarding drilled shaft installation, concrete placement, production tracking, and jobsite logistics Communicate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to support successful project delivery Assist with project schedules, cost tracking, forecasting, purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, and RFIs Monitor project progress, field productivity, and project documentation throughout all phases of the project Participate in job meetings, site visits, and coordination with field operations Support compliance with company safety policies and heavy civil jobsite requirements Assist with project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation Qualifications 0-3 years of construction, estimating, project coordination, internship, or related industry experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or related field preferred Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; estimating or project management software experience is a plus Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA requirements is preferred Valid driver's license required
Travel Required :
