Job Description

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety while coordinating cross-functional teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. This role focuses on commercial construction and requires strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to drive successful project delivery across a range of project types.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction, permitting, procurement, construction and closeout.

Develop, maintain and manage project schedules, budgets and cash flow forecasts; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones.

Coordinate and manage subcontractor selection, contracts, scope verification, and on-site performance.

Serve as primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, inspectors and internal teams; maintain regular project communications and reporting.

Oversee site safety and quality control programs; enforce company and regulatory safety standards and conduct regular site inspections.

Administer change orders, claims and RFIs; document decisions and maintain accurate project records.

Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively to minimize impact on schedule and budget.

Manage procurement of materials and long-lead items; coordinate deliveries and logistics to support construction sequencing.

Conduct regular site meetings, progress reviews and walkthroughs; ensure work meets design intent, specifications and code requirements.

Prepare project closeout documentation, punch lists, commissioning coordination and turnover to owners.

Mentor and coordinate junior project staff and field personnel; promote continuous improvement and best practices.
QualificationsRequired:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction with demonstrated success delivering projects on time and on budget.

Required skills: Construction, Commercial, Project Manager.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of progressive construction project management experience (years may vary by market).
Technical skills:
Proficient with project scheduling and management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore or similar), cost control and reporting, and construction documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders).
Certifications:
PMP, CCM or equivalent preferred; OSHA 10/30 or CCST preferred.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of construction methods, means and methods, contract administration (AIA contracts preferred) and building codes.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Other:
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
