Assistanant Project Manager - Hyperscale Data Center Construction About the Role We are seeking a Project Manager to lead execution on a large-scale hyperscale data center campus. This role oversees all aspects of project delivery, including cost, schedule, contracts, and client coordination, ensuring successful execution of complex, fast-track mission-critical facilities. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple scopes and phases across a greenfield campus, partnering closely with field leadership to deliver high-quality infrastructure that supports critical data operations. Project Overview (Hyperscale Data Center - North Dakota Region) Multi-phase, large-scale campus development Data halls designed for high-density compute capacity Central Utility Plants (CUP) supporting chilled water systems Medium- and high-voltage electrical distribution (substations, switchyards) Backup power infrastructure including generators, UPS systems, and fuel farms Underground utilities including duct banks, fiber pathways, and storm systems Structural steel or precast buildings with complex enclosure systems Redundant system architecture (N+1 / 2N reliability standards) Cold-weather construction environment requiring winterization planning Accelerated schedules tied to commissioning and capacity delivery milestones Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of project execution including cost control, scheduling, procurement, contracts, and risk management Lead coordination between field teams, subcontractors, design partners, and client stakeholders Develop, maintain, and track master project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities Oversee procurement and delivery of long-lead equipment including generators, switchgear, chillers, and electrical components Administer subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports to ensure financial performance targets are met Support site leadership (Superintendent and field teams) to ensure efficient sequencing and execution Identify project risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule and budget Drive client communication, reporting, and stakeholder updates at all phases of the project Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure system readiness, turnover packages, and performance validation Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations Lead project closeout including punch list completion, final documentation, and financial reconciliation Qualifications Required Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects as a Project Manager or equivalent role Strong understanding of: Electrical infrastructure (medium/high voltage systems, substations, switchgear) Mechanical systems (central plants, chilled water distribution, cooling systems) Construction sequencing and large-scale project delivery Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance across complex builds Strong contract management and change order experience Ability to manage multiple scopes and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with construction management tools and scheduling software Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Preferred Experience Data center or mission-critical facility construction Experience managing multi-phase campus developments Familiarity with commissioning processes and integrated systems testing (IST) Exposure to redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N systems) Experience working in cold-weather or challenging site conditions Ideal Candidate Traits Strong leadership presence with the ability to align teams and drive results Highly organized with strong financial and operational discipline Excellent communicator who can manage both internal teams and client relationships Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on execution Committed to delivering high-quality, mission-critical infrastructure Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility project environment Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fargo, ND.
