(To ensure consideration, please submit all application materials before review date) 06/25/2026 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Description of Work The Events and Projects Coordinator is responsible for supporting the goals of the Raikes School by managing events and student focused project efforts, including the development of event strategy, and the design, management, and execution of Raikes School-related events. Working in a fast-paced office, the Events and Projects Coordinator will independently coordinate all events, activities, and Advisory Board meeting logistics for the Raikes School including, but not limited to, recruitment and student success, Design Studio, and administrative events. Examples of these events include recruitment events, residential summer camps, outreach events, interview days, orientation activities, career and research fairs, all school meetings, senior recognition and end-of-year celebrations, student and alumni engagement, speakers, Raikes School Corporate Advisory Board meetings, the Design Studio Showcases, and various Design Studio networking events. The position is responsible for all event details including researching, planning, coordinating, executing, and assessing the events. The Events and Projects Coordinator provides general and administrative support to all aspects of outreach, recruitment, and engagement activities, Raikes School staff and faculty, and administrative operations. Some events occur outside normal business hours and on days other than Monday through Friday. The Events & Projects Coordinator must have some flexibility to work on these occasions. Experience planning events and demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills. Evidence of excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong ability to network and build relationships with community partners, academic officials, and students (secondary and higher education, specifically). Must be highly proficient in relevant computer applications such as Word, Excel, etc. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage/prioritize tasks. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, communications, hospitality, public relations, business or related field preferred. Familiarity with student information systems (i.e. PeopleSoft) preferred. Familiarity with UNL specific recruitment programs (i.e. Perceptive and MyRed) helpful. Experience working in a secondary and/or higher education institution desirable. Proficiency in Spanish, both speaking and writing preferred.
