Role responsibility Understands project documents (drawings, specifications, addendums, shop drawings & supplemental drawings such RFIs, ASIs and Change orders) Manage the distribution of project documents to all subcontractors and suppliers as well as all jobsite superintendent. Manage the shop drawing process to ensure all materials are properly submitted and approved. Manage the RFI process to ensure that clarity of the construction documents to the field staff. Manage the change request process to ensure that fair & accurate pricing is submitted to the owner and that approvals are responded timely. Manage project schedule. Provides advance communication to subcontractors of expected dates on site. Attends pre-installation meetings with subcontractors, reviewing how materials are to be installed in a quality and safe manner. Communicate and coordinate with design firm. Conduct and document owner architect project meetings. Participate in interviews seeking new business opportunities when required. Role requirements/abilities/skills/strengths Manage the communication of the project. Is forward thinking/self-motivated and possess good time management skills. Ability to remain calm, focused and effective under all situations. Demonstrates acceptable communication skills. Willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others, while maintaining effective relationships with subcontractors, design firms and owners. Uses the technology provided by BIC for the role of a project manager. Advocates and creates BIC culture on worksite. Provides mentoring to BIC employees to grow their skills.
