Highway Design Project Manager Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc Manchester, NH Job Details $100,000 - $150,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications AASHTO standards CAD software Managing projects in an engineering role Managing transportation projects Bachelor's degree Client management Bachelor's degree in civil engineering Managing projects Full Job Description Weston & Sampson is currently seeking a Project Manager with highway/roadway design experience to work out of any of our New England offices. The Project Manager will demonstrate experience in leading a team of professionals in transportation projects, and in developing business in this discipline primarily with public clients such as state and county Departments of Transportation and municipalities. What you'll do: Assisting with the pursuit and execution of work associated with planning, design, and construction administration of a variety of transportation related projects for public clients. Managing engineers and technical staff from all disciplines as needed on a variety of projects in addition to helping develop proposals to secure project assignments, negotiating scopes of service and building and maintaining client relationships. The successful candidate will be expected to work with the practice and discipline leaders to assist in proposal writing with the goal of expanding a highway design group in this locale. Active involvement with professional organizations such as ASCE, ACEC, ITE, etc. is expected to enhance relationships with peers. Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites, finish and potentially to other W&S office locations.
What you will bring:
BS in Civil Engineering is required MS in Civil Engineering is a plus. Minimum 10 years' experience in dealing with multiple projects and clients along with experience managing technical, budgetary and client aspects of projects. Licensed Professional Engineer in MA required (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months) Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus) and Bentley MicroStation (InRoads/OpenRoads a plus). Experience in the use of the relevant DOT Engineering Design Manual and AASHTO Green Book. Strong written and verbal communication skills and organization and time management skills are also required. The ability to self-start is important. Valid drivers license
