This role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the defined quality standards. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.
Responsibilities Planning:
Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
Scheduling:
Oversee cross-functional project teams, and schedules ensuring the team's schedules and ensure that tasks are completed on time.
Resource Allocation:
Lead and manage cross-functional project teams and project resources.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
Communication:
Facilitate effective communication between team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
Documentation:
Maintain project documentation and handle compliance or regulatory issues.
Evaluation:
Evaluate project performance and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and improve future projects. Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them. Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project. Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy. Communicating with leadership and project sponsor to keep the project aligned with their goals. Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected. Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time Other duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor's degree in either project management, engineering, business administration, or a related field business or management is required for the Project Manager role and/ or 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valuable experience for a candidate includes work in the field or industry the project is in as well as management experience. Although management experience in the Aerospace field is ideal, a combination of experience in the industry and management experience in another area may be acceptable. Relevant certifications are helpful but not necessary - Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified associate in project management (CAPM), Program Management Professional (PgMP)
