Energy Project Manager Location:
Hoboken, NJ We are seeking a Project Manager-level Energy Engineer with a strong background in ASHRAE Level I and II energy audits and retro-commissioning (RCx) projects. This individual will play a key role in delivering energy efficiency solutions for commercial and institutional facilities, working closely with clients to identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and oversee project execution. This position is ideal for someone who is technically strong, client-facing, and looking to take ownership of projects from start to finish. The Energy Engineer will be responsible for... Leading ASHRAE Level I and II energy audits across a portfolio of commercial and institutional buildings while prioritizing high-impact efficiency opportunities Managing retro-commissioning (RCx) projects from initial assessment through implementation support and final reporting Conducting detailed site assessments, data collection, and energy analysis to identify system performance issues and optimization strategies Developing energy conservation measures (ECMs) with clear financial analysis, including payback and lifecycle cost considerations Preparing client-ready reports and presenting findings in a clear, actionable manner Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution Supporting the implementation of system improvements and operational best practices Maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to repeat business and project growth Providing technical expertise related to HVAC systems, building controls, and electrical systems The Energy Engineer should have the following... 7+ years of experience in energy engineering, with a strong emphasis on ASHRAE Level I and II audits Proven experience delivering retro-commissioning (RCx) projects Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical systems Experience with energy modeling, utility analysis, and benchmarking Strong technical writing and client-facing communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with monitoring-based commissioning (MBCx) is a plus Relevant certifications such as CEM, EBCP, CBCP, or PE are preferred Benefits include...
