Senior Network Project Manager Location:
Newark, NJ (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite or More as Needed) Position Summary ComTec is seeking a Senior Network Modernization Project Manager to lead a strategic enterprise Network Transformation initiative. This role will be responsible for managing the implementation of SD-WAN, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Cisco ISE-based security policies, and a future-state SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading Network Infrastructure modernization programs, managing cybersecurity-related network initiatives, conducting RFP processes, selecting and managing System Integrators (SI), and driving project execution from planning through implementation. This role requires a combination of Project Management, Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity Governance, Vendor Management, and Business Analysis capabilities. Responsibilities Lead enterprise Network Modernization and Network Transformation initiatives. Manage SD-WAN implementation programs including routing modernization and WAN transformation activities. Oversee Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Cisco ISE policy implementation initiatives. Support implementation of SASE architecture and related security transformation programs. Partner with Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Architecture, Operations, and Business teams. Manage requirements gathering, business analysis, project planning, scheduling, risk management, issue management, and executive reporting. Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, milestones, dependencies, and implementation schedules. Facilitate requirements workshops, architecture reviews, risk assessments, and governance meetings. Lead RFP creation, vendor evaluation, and System Integrator (SI) selection activities. Manage SI delivery teams and ensure successful execution of project deliverables. Track project budgets, forecasts, resource allocation, and actual versus planned performance. Manage multiple concurrent workstreams involving network, security, cloud connectivity, and infrastructure teams. Required Skills 10+ years of IT Project Management experience. 5+ years managing Network Infrastructure projects. Strong experience leading Network Modernization programs. Experience managing SD-WAN implementation projects. Experience with Cisco ISE and/or Network Access Control (NAC) solutions. Experience supporting Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) initiatives. Experience with SASE-related programs or network security transformation initiatives. Experience managing network routing, connectivity, segmentation, and security-related projects. Experience running RFP processes and evaluating vendor proposals. Experience selecting and managing System Integrators (SI). Strong business analysis, requirements management, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies. Strong executive communication and governance experience.
