Job Description

Project Manager - Commercial Tile & Stone Contractors Role Overview This is a full-time, onsite position that blends office-based project management with active jobsite coordination. The PM serves as the primary liaison between general contractors, owners, design teams, and field crews, managing everything from pre-construction planning to final closeout. This role is for a detail-oriented, self-directed PM who can manage complex commercial tile and stone projects, coordinate diverse teams, and deliver high-quality results while maintaining strict schedules and budgets. Salary will be based on experience. Must have at least 2 years PM experience.
Key Responsibilities Project Lifecycle Management:
Lead commercial tile, stone, and flooring projects from award through completion, including pre-construction, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout
Scheduling & Budgeting:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports; monitor progress and adjust as needed
Crew & Subcontractor Coordination:
Oversee installation crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries; ensure timely labor and material logistics
Quality Control:
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tile layout plans; ensure work meets quality standards and timelines
Documentation:
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress reports, and job cost tracking
Problem Resolution:
Identify and resolve issues such as schedule conflicts, material shortages, or scope changes before they impact the project
Safety & Compliance:
Monitor jobsite safety and ensure adherence to construction standards
Required Skills & Experience Experience:
Proven track record as a Project Manager in commercial construction or interior finishes, with specific experience in tile, stone, or flooring projects for at least 2 years.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and installation methods for ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, panel systems, and floor prep .
Coordination Skills:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate multi-trade environments.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with GCs, owners, vendors, and field teams.
Tools & Software:
Proficiency with construction management software, Microsoft Office, and material procurement systems .
Pay:
$72,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
