Job Description

Environmental Project Manager / Land Use Permitting Specialist ? Rockaway, NJ ? $85k to 125k depending on experience and open to negotiation If you can look at a site and immediately start thinking about wetlands constraints, NJDEP permits, and how to get a project approved without delays… you're exactly who this role is built for. Zing is partnering with a well-established environmental consulting firm with over 50 years of experience supporting complex land development and infrastructure projects across the Northeast. They're looking for a hands-on Environmental Project Manager who can own permitting and environmental projects from start to finish. What You'll Be Doing Lead environmental projects from proposal through completion Conduct wetland delineations and ecological field assessments Manage NJDEP Land Use permitting (LOIs, General Permits, Individual Permits) Coordinate with U.S. Army Corps (Section 404) and regulatory agencies Prepare environmental impact assessments and technical reports Review development plans and identify permitting constraints Act as a key point of contact for clients and regulatory bodies What You Bring Experience with NJDEP Land Use permitting Hands-on wetland delineation experience Familiarity with USACE / Section 404 permitting Knowledge of regional regulations (NJ, NY, PA) Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency in ArcGIS and Microsoft Office Required Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and recent, relevant industry experience is required Wetland Delineation Certification preferred. Must be eligible to obtain Wetland Delineation Certification. Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) preferred OSHA 40-Hour
