Job Summary:
The Inspections Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating the readiness of solar projects for inspections, managing communications with municipalities, scheduling inspections, and handling inspection results. This role includes creating service and fix tickets, ensuring project compliance, and seeing projects through to Certificate of Acceptance (CA) receipt.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Readiness:
Assess whether solar projects are ready for inspections or need resubmission to utilities or townships. Ensure all necessary documentation and approvals are in place before scheduling inspections.
Inspection Scheduling:
Contact municipalities to schedule final inspections for solar projects. Coordinate with local authorities to arrange suitable inspection times and dates.
Inspection Management:
Oversee inspection sitters, ensuring they are scheduled and briefed on project details. Monitor and manage inspection outcomes, addressing any issues or discrepancies.
Ticket Management:
Create and manage service and fix tickets related to inspection results. Ensure that any required fixes or adjustments are completed promptly.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of inspection schedules, outcomes, and project statuses. Ensure all necessary documentation is submitted and compliance is met for project completion.
Project Oversight:
Track the progress of solar projects from inspection scheduling through to the receipt of the Certificate of Acceptance (CA). Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve any issues and ensure timely project completion.
Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams, municipalities, and inspection sitters. Provide clear and timely updates on inspection status and project progress.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in construction or inspections. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various stakeholders effectively. Proficiency in Google and experience with project management software. Familiarity with solar energy projects and municipal inspection processes is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform office tasks, including using a computer and phone for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry documents or equipment as needed.
