Job Description

Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily Construction A growing multifamily contractor is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of multifamily construction projects in the Albuquerque area. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career while receiving direct mentorship from company leadership and gaining exposure to all aspects of project management. The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, and eager to grow within the construction industry, with the ability to support project teams through coordination, documentation, and communication while learning directly from experienced industry professionals. Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers throughout all phases of multifamily construction projects
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and project progress
  • Assist with procurement, material tracking, and project reporting
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate documentation
  • Support project closeout activities and turnover processes Qualifications
  • 1-5+ years of experience in construction project management, project engineering, or related construction roles
  • Multifamily construction experience preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or similar software is a plus
  • Stable work history and desire for long-term career growth
  • Comfortable commuting up to one hour from the Albuquerque area
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:
$80,000 - $120,000 per year (based on experience)
