We work with local and national brands to deliver high-quality signage solutions while maintaining strong relationships with municipalities and inspectors throughout New Mexico and surrounding areas. Position Summary SignPlex is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sign Permitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking permit applications for commercial signage projects. This role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of municipal permitting processes, and the ability to coordinate with project managers, designers, city officials, and customers to keep projects moving efficiently. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit permit applications for commercial sign projects Coordinate with city planning departments, zoning offices, and inspectors Review drawings and project documentation for permit compliance Track permit status and maintain accurate records of approvals and revisions Communicate permit requirements and timelines with project managers and customers Research municipal sign codes, zoning ordinances, and permitting requirements Obtain electrical permits and coordinate inspections when required Resolve permitting issues and respond to requests for corrections Maintain organized digital and physical permit files Assist with project closeout documentation and compliance records Qualifications Previous permitting, construction administration, or sign industry experience preferred Knowledge of commercial sign permitting processes is highly desirable Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to read construction drawings and site plans preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based document systems Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Self-motivated with strong attention to detail Preferred Experience Experience working with municipalities and planning departments Familiarity with sign codes and zoning regulations Experience in the sign, construction, architectural, or electrical industries Experience using permitting portals and online submission systems Benefits Competitive pay Paid time off Health insurance options Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive team environment Stable, growing company with long-term career opportunities
