Why does the job exist? The incumbent will assist the Family Services Division within CYFD in researching, planning, developing, implementing, and assessing projects across the division that support best practice and improved outcomes for children and families. This position will support the Family Services Division Director, Associate Deputy Directors and leadership team. Therefore, incumbent may be located in any office across the state depending on division and program needs. How does it get done? The Special Project Coordinator will work with Family Services Division leadership to support programs and initiatives across the division through the following: Assist in monitoring and developing regular data reports related to key prevention and child welfare outcome metrics. 20% Conduct research, compile data sets, and review program and initiative specific reports for the purpose of ongoing program improvement and improved data quality. 20% Assist in reviewing case records, provider records and program data for the purpose of preparation for decisions on high profile cases, constituent complaints, casework evaluation, program evaluation and MFD and payment approval. 20% Assist in coordinating, planning and scheduling meetings with internal partners and stakeholders including but not limited to executive management, division management, county leadership, program participants, and partner agencies. 20% Provide coordination and advanced administrative support for special projects and initiatives across the division. May include serving as main point of contact for project coordination and outcome evaluation efforts. 20% Minimum Qualification Associate's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Family Studies/Services, Social Sciences, or Human Services and one (1) year of experience as a social work assistant and/or in social or community coordination, working with communities, working on health or social service-related matters, social work/case management experience, and/or behavioral health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting: late hours and weekends work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Travel may be required. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints.
