Job Description

Let's Build YOUR Future! Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in construction looking to elevate your career? Enterprise Builders - an award-winning commercial general contractor with more than 35 years serving New Mexico - is looking for a passionate Project manager to lead a project team, oversee construction projects with superintendents and foremen, as well as plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction projects. A thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, including applicable building and industry codes) is a must.
What You'll Do:
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Lead a project team; Oversees construction projects with superintendents and foremen to plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction projects. Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities. Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid. Responsible for ensuring revenue and profitability requirements are met by providing detailed and accurate job proposals. Maintain up to date knowledge of material costs, customer trends, and latest product information. Maintain positive working relations with all team members. Must manage the proposal process and ensure all requirements are met for a successful proposal submission to the client. Communicate effectively with the subcontractors responsible for completing various phases of the project. Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, subcontractors, and own forces. Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams. Coordinate/supervise all project submittals. Oversee distribution of project close-out material; facilitate prompt punch list final sign-off, completion and resolution of all contract paperwork for final acceptance by the client. Technical writing skills to prepare professional construction proposals to clients. Attend pre-bid conferences. Meeting or beating deliverable deadlines.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred, not required) 5 years' experience in commercial construction management Customer service oriented with excellent communication skills Experience in project scheduling Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, applicable building, and industry codes) as well as company policies, procedures, and standards Basic knowledge of construction contract law Ability to work rapidly and accurately with plans and computers Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Vista, and WinEst preferred Ability to bid, negotiate, and manage commercial construction projects Experience with design-build and construction manager at risk contracts preferred Team player and goal oriented
