Los Alamos, NM Pay:
$65-$85/hr + Per Diem /
Relocation Schedule:
4/10s with expected overtime (shift work, including nights/weekends, may be required) Lead Critical Construction Projects Supporting National Security Are you a senior-level construction project leader with deep DOE or nuclear experience? COMPA Industries is hiring Project Manager 3 professionals to lead complex construction and infrastructure projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory - one of the most critical nuclear facilities in the United States. This role goes beyond execution - you will own project delivery , drive coordination across multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure successful outcomes in a highly regulated, mission-critical environment. Mandatory Requirements - Must Meet to Be Considered Nuclear / DOE experience required 15+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or project/program management Demonstrated experience leading complex construction projects in regulated environments Ability and willingness to support off-shift / graveyard work as needed Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance What You'll Do Lead end-to-end execution of LANL construction projects, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, and budget Provide field leadership and technical direction across construction, engineering, procurement, and project controls teams Oversee project planning, estimates, forecasts, schedules, and cost performance Serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM) utilizing EVMS to manage performance and variance analysis Drive constructability reviews , identify risks, and implement mitigation and recovery strategies Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and nuclear compliance requirements Coordinate subcontractors, craft labor, and internal stakeholders in a matrixed project environment Present project updates, risks, and performance metrics to senior leadership and federal stakeholders What We're Looking For Extensive experience managing large or complex construction projects (DOE/nuclear strongly preferred) Strong background in project controls, EVMS, and cost/schedule management Proven ability to lead teams, resolve issues, and drive projects to completion under pressure Advanced understanding of: Construction operations & technologies Subcontractor management Government compliance & nuclear quality standards (NQA-1 preferred) Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Strong communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders and federal sponsors

4x10s + OT (shift flexibility required)
Duration:
1-year assignment with strong extension potential (up to 5 years)

Active nuclear facility / high-hazard construction setting
Clearance:
