Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a background in the fire alarm, security, and construction industries. This role involves overseeing the administration and execution of fire and security system installations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the administration of current and future installations of fire alarm, security, CCTV, card access, and specialty systems.
  • Coordinate project documentation with contracts administrators and sales representatives to meet engineering requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation of site visits, communications, RFIs, permits, and project closeouts.
  • Oversee and enforce safety programs to ensure compliance and prevent injuries.
  • Monitor manpower backlog reports to optimize staffing and meet customer satisfaction goals.
  • Implement and manage change orders to maximize gross profit.
  • Participate in meetings with contracts administration, field supervision, and engineering teams to review ongoing projects.
  • Assist with construction schedules to ensure timely installation and certification testing.
  • Maintain and update project logs, including start dates, completion dates, man-hours, and system details.
  • Provide in-house estimating and proposals for existing customers and new projects.
Up to 50% travel required ________________________________________
Qualifications:
    Industry Experience:
    Must have experience in the fire alarm/security industry and project management.
    • Technical Skills:
      o Working knowledge of Microsoft Project (or similar), Word, and Excel. o Troubleshooting skills an knowledge of local and national fire alarm systems and inspections. o Certifications such as Regulation No. 4, EST3, NICET, PMP, or State Certification are a plus.
    Physical Requirements:
    o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. o Comfortable with bending, stooping, and kneeling as required in the construction field.
      Soft Skills:
      o Strong written and verbal communication skills. o Energetic, self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with little or no supervision. o Demonstrates job stability and eagerness to learn.
        Education:
        High school diploma or associate degree required.
          Other Requirements:
          o Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. o Ability to pass a background check and drug test. o Ability to read and interpret documents, policies, and procedures in English. ________________________________________
          Preferred Experience:
          • Past experience in the construction field or fire alarm/security industry.
          • Certifications in fire alarm systems, inspections, or project management.
