Job Description

Position Summary Manages temporary election projects by coordinating stakeholders, tracking timelines, monitoring deliverables, resolving issues, and supporting successful execution of election operations initiatives. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and monitor assigned election projects, workstreams, tasks, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate with County staff, temporary workforce leads, vendors, site contacts, trainers, logistics teams, and other stakeholders. Track schedules, staffing dependencies, materials, risks, decisions, action items, and completion status using designated tools or templates. Identify timeline risks, resource constraints, process gaps, or stakeholder conflicts and escalate with recommended solutions. Facilitate meetings, status updates, shift handoffs, project documentation, and post-event summaries as assigned. Support implementation of election systems, process changes, training plans, logistics plans, or operational improvements. Maintain confidentiality, professional communication, nonpartisan conduct, and compliance with County procedures. Required Skills and Competencies Project management experience with ability to organize people, tasks, timelines, and deliverables. Strong communication, leadership, follow-through, and stakeholder coordination skills. Working knowledge of election operations, election systems, public-sector processes, or high-compliance environments preferred. Ability to analyze issues, make recommendations, and keep work moving under tight deadlines. Computer proficiency with spreadsheets, documents, email, scheduling, and project tracking tools. Minimum Qualifications and Compliance Requirements Valid Nevada Driver's License. Background check and drug screening required before assignment. Prior project management, operations coordination, election administration, logistics, or public-sector experience preferred. Must complete any required County orientation, security, and systems training before accessing assigned systems or work areas. Schedule and Working Conditions May require office work, site visits, meetings, extended hours, and coordination across multiple work locations. Must remain calm and organized during surge periods, urgent requests, and Election Day activity. Must be available to work through the election cycle with limited requested days off. Must be available for schedule needs that may include 8-10 hour shifts, weekends, flexible start and end times, overtime, and extended hours on specific event days, especially Election Day. Must remain reliable, punctual, and responsive to assignment changes during a fast-paced, deadline-driven election environment. Must follow County security rules, workplace policies, chain-of-custody expectations, confidentiality requirements, dress code, and professional conduct standards. Performance Expectations Completes assigned work accurately, on time, and in accordance with training and County procedures. Maintains nonpartisan conduct, voter confidentiality, ballot security, and respectful service at all times. Escalates exceptions, voter issues, equipment concerns, safety concerns, and unclear instructions promptly to the designated supervisor or lead. Accurately documents work performed, materials handled, calls received, records updated, and/or batch activity as applicable to the assignment.
