Job Description

Position Summary Liberty Restoration is seeking a capable, organized, and customer-focused Mitigation Project Manager to manage water, mold, and emergency mitigation projects from initial loss through completion. This position is responsible for assessing property damage, developing a plan of action, writing estimates, coordinating labor, equipment, supplies, subcontractors, documentation, and communication with customers and insurance carriers. The ideal candidate understands restoration, mitigation, customer service, job documentation, and the importance of keeping projects moving. This role requires strong communication, leadership, organization, field judgment, and the ability to manage jobs on time, on budget, and in alignment with Liberty Restoration's standards. Primary Duties Project Management & Job Execution Manage mitigation projects from initial inspection through job completion. Assess damage, identify customer needs, and create a clear plan of action for each project. Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and scheduling needs. Direct mitigation technicians, crews, and subcontractors on active job sites. Monitor job progress, timelines, budgets, and quality of work. Travel to job sites as needed to inspect work, direct crews, meet customers, and confirm job progress. Ensure work is performed safely, professionally, and in accordance with company standards. Estimating, Documentation & Claims Support Write estimates for mitigation work to be performed or already completed. Ensure job documentation is accurate, complete, and uploaded in a timely manner. Manage photos, notes, sketches, moisture readings, forms, work authorizations, completion documents, and other required job records. Complete paperwork and documentation needed to support timely billing and payment of claims. Communicate with insurance representatives, adjusters, TPAs, customers, and internal staff regarding job scope, status, approvals, and documentation needs. Help ensure Liberty Restoration is properly paid for the work performed. Customer Service & Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for customers during mitigation projects. Communicate clearly, professionally, and with empathy for customers dealing with property damage. Set expectations with customers regarding scope, timeline, process, access, documentation, and next steps. Follow up with customers, insurance carriers, labor, subcontractors, and internal team members as needed. Handle difficult conversations professionally and work to resolve issues before they become larger problems. Team Leadership & Coordination Assign and manage daily job load for mitigation technicians and crews. Provide direction, feedback, and support to field employees. Reinforce company procedures, safety expectations, documentation standards, and customer service standards. Work closely with the Mitigation Manager, office staff, scheduling, construction team, and company leadership. Help create a positive team culture built on accountability, respect, and professionalism. Financial & Operational Accountability Manage projects with attention to scope, budget, labor usage, equipment usage, and profitability. Understand the relationship between direct labor, job efficiency, documentation, collections, and profitability. Identify job issues early and communicate them to the appropriate manager. Help improve mitigation processes, documentation, communication, and overall job flow. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing construction, mitigation, restoration, remodeling, or related field projects preferred. Experience supervising crews, subcontractors, or field employees. Working knowledge of water mitigation, mold remediation, restoration, construction, or property damage repair. Ability to write or assist with mitigation estimates. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, people, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills and ability to remain professional in difficult situations. Intermediate computer skills, including email, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, job software, and mobile applications. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Background check required. Ability to work independently while also supporting the broader team. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience in restoration, water mitigation, mold remediation, emergency services, construction, or insurance-related repair work. Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software. IICRC certifications or restoration industry training preferred. Experience communicating with insurance adjusters, TPAs, property owners, and subcontractors. Ability to read scopes, estimates, sketches, job documentation, and written claim information. Strong planning, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to create advocates, not enemies, when negotiating or resolving job issues.

Uses phone, computer, job software, estimating software, Google Workspace, photos, and uploads effectively. Physical Demands This is an active field management position. The employee will regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, use hands, talk, hear, inspect job sites, and operate in active work environments. The employee must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly and may occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, proper technique, or equipment. The employee may be required to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, access crawl spaces, attics, basements, and other tight spaces, and repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objects. Working Conditions Work is performed in offices, vehicles, customer homes, commercial properties, active job sites, and emergency loss environments. Exposure to water damage, mold, dust, debris, demolition conditions, cleaning agents, equipment noise, weather, and general construction/restoration conditions should be expected. Local travel to job sites, vendors, and the company office is required. Some work outside normal business hours may be required based on emergency job needs. Must participate in the mitigation on-call rotation as scheduled, including after-hours, weekend, and emergency response support.
