Job Description:
Primary Focus:
Manager is seeking a Project Manager with strong experience liaising with SMEs and Report Owners. This individual should have experience gathering project updates, tracking metrics, and preparing executive level presentations and status materials. Candidates heavily focused on Data Analytics or Governance will not be a fit for this role.
Department Profile:
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of approximately 3,000 employees globally. Finance protects the firm by serving as guardian of the company's books and records while contributing to firmwide risk management and risk reduction efforts. The division maintains relationships with regulators and supports the delivery of financial information to the investment community. Finance also serves as a strategic advisor to business and senior leadership teams.
Responsibilities:
Partner with stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into actionable requirements Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and Technology within a fast paced, high visibility project environment Lead and manage key deliverables while leveraging an understanding of Finance functions, products, and reporting processes Coordinate meetings with stakeholders and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and issues Serve as the liaison between Finance and Technology teams throughout the full project lifecycle, including planning, testing coordination, issue management, and transition to BAU processes Support detailed data analysis, reconciliations, and root cause investigations related to Finance processes and reporting Identify emerging risks and contribute to mitigation strategies across project deliverables Prepare presentations, metrics, reporting materials, and executive updates for stakeholders and leadership teams
Requirements:
Strong Project Management and stakeholder management experience within Financial Services Experience working directly with SMEs, Report Owners, Finance teams, and Technology partners Knowledge of Finance functions including General Ledger, Regulatory Reporting, and accounting processes within investment banking environments Understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting principles Exposure to financial products including Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, and Loans Experience supporting Finance related initiatives within an investment bank or financial services organization Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a high pressure, fast moving environment Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative release environments Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Visio, Jira, Rally, Alteryx, and Axiom preferred Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities, including reconciliations and issue analysis At least 6 years of relevant Project Management or Business Analysis experience within Financial Services preferred
