The Project Manager will report directly to the Senior Project Manager of the company.
Job Description:
Provide full turnkey solutions for mechanical contracting projects, managing all aspects of construction to meet customer needs and deliver comprehensive, customized solutions. Oversee and ensure mechanical contracting projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to the defined scope of work. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, engineers, architects, trades personnel, and in-house labor to ensure smooth and efficient project execution. Conduct daily job site visits and inspections; collaborate with the Safety Director and Quality Control teams to ensure all safety standards and quality specifications are met. Manage the sequencing of mechanical system installations, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, ensuring coordination between different trades. Prepare and manage project documentation including RFIs, schedules, proposals, and correspondence. Review subcontractor change orders and manage the resolution of any field-related issues. Analyze cost and pricing data, perform bid evaluations, and assist in value engineering and cost control measures. Assess site conditions and customer requirements to develop practical solutions, providing clear cost estimates and accurate schedule projections. Negotiate with approved vendors, review material submittals, and approve project-related invoices for accuracy. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships and ensuring that their expectations are met, and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as a Project Manager for a Mechanical company Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent negotiation skills, with experience in vendor management and cost control. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective interaction with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with Sage 100 (or similar accounting/software systems) is a plus. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
