Job Title:
Project Manager Job Description Join a leading heavy civil construction firm known for its excellence in infrastructure projects such as roadways, bridges, utilities, and site development. As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will play a vital role in overseeing all project phases from pre-construction to completion, while also preparing accurate cost estimates for bids. This position requires a balance of leadership, technical expertise, and effective management of budgets, schedules, and client relationships. Responsibilities Oversee all phases of heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion. Prepare and analyze cost estimates for project bids. Manage project budgets and schedules effectively. Coordinate with various teams and maintain strong client relationships. Implement and manage change orders and requests for information (RFIs). Utilize estimating software and project management tools for efficient project execution. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in project management and/or estimating. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, B2W, or similar. Strong understanding of heavy civil construction techniques including earthwork, paving, utilities, and concrete work. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications PMP, CCM, or similar certifications are a plus. Associate degree candidates will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Work Environment The role operates primarily in a heavy civil construction environment with 90% office-based work and 10% job site visits. Standard working hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Loudonville, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
