Job Description
As Project Controls Engineer, you'll be embedded within project teams, providing CPM scheduling, reporting, and project controls support on active data center construction projects. You'll play a key role in ensuring schedules are realistic, risks are identified early, and leadership has clear, actionable insight into project performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing, maintaining, and monitoring construction CPM schedules Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contracts to build accurate baseline schedules Performing schedule updates, including detailed narratives and reporting Analyzing schedules, identifying critical paths, and recommending corrective actions Reviewing contractor schedules and progress and presenting findings to management Conducting site walks to validate progress and support monthly reporting Developing and tracking metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks Supporting cost and resource management and reporting Identifying schedule risks, impacts, and mitigation strategies Communicating project status clearly to project teams, clients, and stakeholders Participating in coordination meetings with owners, clients, and delivery teams What My Client Is Looking For 5+ years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within vertical construction 2+ years of direct experience supporting data center projects Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related field (may be waived with 5+ years of relevant industry experience) Strong proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 Ability to interpret complex construction and contract documents Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing Experience developing construction schedules specifically for data centers Knowledge of cost and resource management principles Familiarity with contractual clauses related to planning and scheduling Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-project environment AACEI PSP and/or PMI-SP certification preferred Must be full-time, on-site in New York Compensation & Benefits My client offers a competitive compensation package and benefits, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Employer-paid life and AD&D insurance Voluntary life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage Employee/Life Assistance Program Paid Time Off plus 10 paid holidays Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Civil Estimator•Sumner, WAUSA USD 135000
